A Christmas card in the form of an Advent calendar, one funny video per day until Christmas!

With our Christmas Card 2014, we wanted to create a video series that highlighted our favourite approach: using a catchy tone to surprise and trigger emotion in our audience. We also saw the card as an opportunity to grow our web community, which, at the time, was just starting to take shape.
We plumbed the absurd and crafted startling situations that would catch viewers off guard. By uploading one video a day throughout the month of December, we created suspense, making viewers come back for more every day. By creating very short capsules, we also made viewing them as easy as possible.
The platform attracted more than 40,000 visits in December alone. The strategy also enabled us to increase the number of subscribers to our Facebook page. To top it off, we took home first prize in the film/video category from the Grenier d’or Gala, an event that recognized the best Christmas card created by Montreal agencies in 2014, and garnered a “favourite entry” distinction from the jury as well.
